Josh Pyke busking for change
Tue 6th Jul, 2010 in Local News
A year after raising more than $11,000 for indigenous literacy, Josh Pyke will return this August with Busking for Change a musical charity event founded by the singer to improve literacy levels within remote Aboriginal communities.
“To me, a decent level of literacy is really the cornerstone to being able to choose what type of life you want,” says Pyke. “The one thing I can do is put on a charity show to help support the people financially who are out there making a difference.”
This year’s show will take place at the Annandale on Friday 27th August, features Pyke, Holly Throsby, Boy & Bear and many others.
