Held over New Years, from December 29th to January 1st, in the luscious Glenworth Valley NSW, Peats Ridge festival was described by FasterLouder’s reviewer this year “a bundle of happiness squeezed into 10 stages and three days of hippie madness.”
The festival’s director, Matt Grant says “For the 2010 Festival we’re going to focus on building on our winning formula and delivering a higher class festival in terms of our patrons’ experience.”
“There’ll be a top lineup of music – lots of bands you know and some for you to discover, an extensive and interactive arts program and of course the experience of camping in the beautiful Glenworth Valley. It’s really a chance to unwind, get a bit silly and imagine what the world would be like were it a perfect place… which it is down in the valley.”
Earlier this year Peats Ridge was invited by the United Nations to join Glastonbury, Roskilde and Lollapoolooza as a founding partner of the UN Music and Environment Initiative. Peats Ridge was the only festival from the Southern Hemisphere invited to help the UN to brainstorm ways in which the music industry and festivals can help people achieve environmental change.
The line up for Peats Ridge 2010 will be announced in August.
Pre-release tickets will be available via the Peats Ridge website on Monday 12th July.
