Children Collide tour
Thu 1st Jul, 2010 in Local News
Children Collide’s new album Theory of Everything will be released on August 27th, and the Melbourne rockers will embark on a national tour this September to show off their new material.
The title comes from a piece of theoretical physics which seeks to explain the connections between nature and the universe, a blend that vocalist and guitarist Johnny Mackay says is nothing new for the band: “Alchemy and chemistry, reason and religion, love and logic. Art and music are so often about tying opposing forces together into a contentious dualism. Contradiction is a big part of what we do.”
The band has also introduced the Children Collide Singles Club, which will launch on Monday 12th July.
By joining at the club via the band’s website and pre-ordering the new album, fans have access to brand new album tracks before the rest of us, three never released bonus tracks, tickets for their national headlining tour, a Children Collide ‘Singles Club 12” vinyl not available in stores and a set of Children Collide tarot cards.
FasterLouder reviewer raved about the band’s shows earlier this year: “A huge dose of guitar feedback and rapturous applause is a fitting send off for a band whose shows remain some of the best grungy, noise-filled fun you can get for under $25.”
