The Vasco Era have announced a regional tour this July to promote their new album Lucille.
The blues/rock outfit from Melbourne have been working hard, touring with the UK’s Placebo and label mates Gyroscope. Those who have had the privilege to see them live often marvel at frontman Sid O’Neil’s gritty vocals, bassist Ted O’Neil’s frenzied onstage antics, and drummer Michael Fitzgerald’s heart-pounding rhythm.
The group is known for their intense live shows, brimming with raw energy. FasterLouder reviewers describe the band as “a must see”, “amazing”, and “mesmerizing”.
On their tour with Gyroscope, one FasterLouder reviewer gushed, “Although I have listened to the band for years, I could not anticipate what I was about to witness…nor just how unique the band’s lead singer, Sid O’Neil, truly is…The band pulled out all the stops; O’Neil singing (if not, almost shouting) at the crowd with his husky blues voice; the entire band running rampant on stage. It was the quintessential performance to define Melbourne rock ‘n’ roll.”
The Vasco Era tour:
Friday 2 July – Karova Lounge, Ballarat
Saturday 3 July – Loxton Hotel, Adelaide
Friday 9 July – The Loft, Warnambool
Saturday 10 July – Barwon Heads Hotel, Barwon Heads
Friday 23 July – Sand Bar, Mildura
