FasterLouder presents Art VsScience tour

Sydney three-piece Art Vs Science have become a live powerhouse; selling out shows, ascending to festival favourites the nation over and they head out again in August for a huge headline tour.

The national tour is supported by Tim and Jean; with Jinja Safari lending additional support at the East Coast gigs.

Though Art Vs Science’s debut album is not due for release until early 2011, the band will release an EP Magic Fountain just before kicking off the tour.

The EP will feature the new single about futuristic trojans, mountain kings and the fateful discovery of magic and a version of live favourite Boom! Shake the Room recorded at Splendour in the Grass.

Wednesday 18th August – Uni of New England, The Stro, Armidale
Thursday 19th August – Uni Of Newcastle, Bar on the Hill
Friday 20th August – Uni Of Wollongong, Uni Bar
Saturday 21st August – Metro Theatre, Sydney
Wednesday 25th August – The Saloon Bar, Launceston
Thursday 26th August – Hobart Uni Bar
Friday 27th August – The Hi-Fi, Melbourne
Friday 3rd September – Governor Hindmarsh, Adelaide
Saturday 4th September – Capitol, Perth

Tickets on sale Thursday 24th June

Just making a point that the band name doesn't really matter, the music is all quite similar. Which is fine for those who enjoy it, but I don't count myself among them.

The Presets are so much better than AvS that you can't compare them, they simply aren't on the same level. The Van She comparison is spot on.

Thread's not about me or Gareth for that matter. Clearly AvS and Van She are on the same level of musical talent and AvS aren't anywhere close to being as good as The Presets ever were.

Plus that photo of me was taken when I was dressed up for the Boosh costume party so you really are taking it completely out of context as you do with the majority of your nonsensical posts here. Gareth was simply attired for a night out on the town without any themes in place.

The Van She comparison is far from spot on. V was a pretty decent album, even if they do suck live.

Grafton Primary's EP had some pretty solid tunes that went alright live.

I'm past both acts now but I'd definitely listen to either of them before I chuck on Lady GaGa anytime soon.

i love these guys. saw them live at good vibes but they were a bit boo - sooo much better in a tent i reckon then on the main stage. but listening to "flippers" live gives me goose bumps everytime. siiiiiiiic! :cool:

ahaha. its strange though, cuz they actually know them, well apparently, although the guy with the tatt is quite the liar, told all my mates he got free tickets to good vibes last year, turns out he payed for them all, we found out when he let us use his mosh tix account to get cassette kid tickets. having said that though they went on barcadi express tour with them and i think they stayed with them, though having said that they're douches and could of easily stalked them aha.

I wouldn't be surprised. A bit weird to obsess over them particularly.

I met Dan back in February at the Gossip show, and I see him and Jim around at a lot of the same shows, too. Dan Mac was even nice enough to get me into the show when I missed out on tickets - they're great guys.
