First act announced for Falls

Want to know who else might be playing Falls Festival 2010?
The Falls festival newsletter leads with the announcement that the festival has been recognised for its environmental sustainability winning the international ‘A Greener Festival Award’ for the third year in a row.
However, the more exciting news for music fans is buried in the email with the confirmation of the first act for the line up.
The newsletter confirms “an early snippet of this year’s Falls Festival line-up” by revealing that “The Soft Pack will take to the stage in Marion Bay and Lorne.”
Punters have a chance to catch a preview of the much hyped indie rockers – originally know as The Muslims – when the band tours in July with shows in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth.
As the Falls folk put it “We highly recommend that you see these guys live to understand what all the hyperbole is about. Think early-Strokes, except born of Californian sunshine rather than New York grit.”
