UnConvention Brisbane kicked off this morning at South Brisbane Digital Cultural Centre, The Edge.
This morning’s first panel, Music As A Service, was facilitated by Maggie Collins and provoked interesting discussions about, well, music services – management, publicity, cash flow and the idea of having a hand in various ventures.
The panels are interspersed with electronic showcases, culminating in a free, all ages live showcase from 6pm tonight. Local bands Hunz, Lion Island, The Cairos and Laneous And The Family Yah will be performing.
Cubbyhole will host the UnConvention after party, and those attending the conference can gain entry for $5. Macho Grande, Red Ink and Glass Towers will be performing.
Tomorrow’s panels include Music And Media and Music As Culture.
