A Tribe Called Quest tour

Here’s a bombshell for hip hop fans: all the original members of pioneering hip hop crew A Tribe Called Quest will play two shows here in August.

The landmark tour coincides with the 20th anniversary of the group’s debut album, People’s Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm.

ATCQ has agreed to a select number of shows around the globe to mark the occasion, and the Southern Hemisphere will be part of the honours for the first time ever. Expect a career-spanning set from an act that can truly claim the title ‘legendary’.

A Tribe Called Quest tour:

Wednesday 11 August – Hordern Pavilion, Sydney
Thursday 12 August – Festival Hall, Melbourne (all ages)

Pre-sale tickets to both shows on sale 17 June.

For all the old-school hip-hop heads, I've just received news that the original lineup of A Tribe Called Quest are touring in August.

All I know so far is that they're playing the Hordern on the 11th. presale tickets on sale Thursday 17th June, GA tickets on sale Monday 21st June.

So, FL, can you kick it?

Warming up with Testament tonight and then Quest is going to be a fucking special show next week.

With Maseo in the mix I am expecting this to be a show for the ages.
Hopefully Kool Keith will bring the sex style to Sydney too.

(being forced to see any form of Australian hip hop at festivals and the like does not count)
