Reggae and world music lovers Australia-wide get ready for September’s ReggaeTown World Music Festival! The festival has already started celebrating its 15th birthday by announcing a second day of music in the stunning Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park (15 minutes north of Cairns).
The already loaded line-up (including John Butler Trio, Cat Empire, Tiki Taane) has just been improved with the addition of famed world 9-piece Blue King Brown (set to release a follow up to their successful debut in August), New Zealand’s Katchafire (making their third trip to ReggaeTown after going platinum with their first two albums) and Solomon Island favourite Wally Pazzi.
If you’re fortunate enough to get yourself up there, you’ll also see: Ladi 6, Mama Kin, Nea Combo Diffuzion, Ykson, Sista Itations, Kingfisher, Ancient Instinct, the NickyBomba Reggaetown Allstars and a number of others still to be announced.
Keeping with the loving spirit of the festival, they’ve made it an all ages event and under 13s get in free.
