Darren Hanlon album and tour

Highly respected pop wordsmith Darren Hanlon is gracing home shores this August, with an Australia-wide tour to support the release of his upcoming fourth album I Will Love You At All on July 16.

With first single All These Things available digitally from today, Hanlon himself describes the album as his most ‘mature’ work to date. It is a follow-up to last year’s Pointing Ray Guns At Pagans and 2006’s critically acclaimed Fingertips and Mountaintops, with a more stripped-back sound highlighting Hanlon’s direct and poetic lyricism as a storyteller.

Produced by Adam Selzer (The Decemberists, M. Ward, She & Him), the album will also see a US release on Yep Roc Records, home to Ron Sexsmith and Loudon Wainwright III. It features drummer Rachel Blumberg (Bright Eyes, The Decemberists), with keyboard player and long-time collaborator Corry Gray, as well as vocalist Shelley Short – who will open Hanlon’s Australian shows in her own guise as an alt-folk songstress.

I Will Love You At All is released on July 16, with single All These Things now available digitally through iTunes. You can catch Darren Hanlon around the country at these shows:
