Brisbane will soon embrace a brand new bridge on its river, named after once of the city’s most well known bands, The Go Betweens. On Friday 25th June The Go Between Bridge Concert will give Brisbane a chance to experience national and local acts held on top of the new bridge. Playing the concert are Josh Pyke, Angus and Julia Stone, Robert Forster, Bob Evans, Yves Klein Blue and John Steel Singers.
The mid-winter evening will definitely be a one of kind night to remember. Not only widely approving the unique location, acts will be covering songs of The Go-Betweens. Previously known as the Hail Street Link, the Go Between Bridge was permanently titled as of September 2009 after a public vote.
Proceeds will go to two charities – the Kim Walters choices program and The Mater Foundation Prostrate Cancer Research Centre both selected by the Brisbane City Council. The Go Between Bridge Concert is an all ages licensed event.
Tickets are onsale today from $44 through www.qtix.com.au.
