After months of debate and endless hours of talkback radio discussion, the squads for the year’s most significant sporting event have been announced.

While the Socceroos trained unnoticed in the city, thousands waited with bated breath as the teams for the 2010 Community Cup were revealed.

Sitting atop a series of notable inclusions is ‘it’-man Dan Sultan, who takes over the Captaincy of the Espy Rockdogs from Tim Rogers.

The Megahertz will this year be co-captained by RRR’s Jacinta Parsons and PBS’ Maddy Mac, with past captain Mohair Slim reportedly in doubt for the game.

Despite questions over their fitness, The Rockdogs will retain the core spine of their victorious team from last year, with Rogers, Kram, Monique Brumby and The Meanies mean man Wally Kempton all fronting up again.

The Dogs will also be aided by the addition of Bad Seed Mick Harvey and the firm and direct David ‘Friendy’ Friend of Pupppetry of the Penis to the Coach’s box.

As previously reported on FasterLouder , the Cup will be headlined by The Living End who, along with The Blackeyed Susans and Nick Barker and The Reptiles, will be required to deliver incorporate two songs from English punks The Clash into their set
