Tue 18th May, 2010 in Local News
With tickets to their August sideshow at The Corner selling fast, Toronto’s finest exponents of cinematic indie rock are giving fans another chance to catch them in Melbourne.
The band, who will be in Australia for Splendour in the Grass, are now also playing at The Corner on Monday 2nd August – the night before their already-announced Melbourne gig.
Formed by Kevin Drew in 2002, Broken Social Scene are a collective of Toronto indie musicians who craft epic, intricate songs of love and forgiveness. The band has previously included Toronto songstress Feist and members of Stars and Metric, but now plays with a stripped-back lineup of only(!) eight members after the release of last year’s acclaimed Forgiveness Rock Record.
Tickets for Broken Social Scene’s August Melbourne shows are on sale now.
