If you are crying into your copy of Contra after missing out on tickets to Vampire Weekend, then hopefully the news that bassist Chris Baio is playing a run of intimate DJ sets whilst down under will help dry those indie tears.

Unless you plan to linger by the stage door post-gig, this may be your only chance to get up close and personal with one fourth of Vampire Weekend whilst the band is in Australia. Baio’s infamous DJ sets are described as “mind-bogglingly eclectic, covering anything from Afrobeat to indie rock, nu-wave to cutting-edge pop.” What’s not to love?
