Melbourne’s star-gazing synth benders Midnight Juggernauts have been teasing out the details of their long-awaited sophomore LP for what seems like eternity now, starting with last year’s big psychedelic single This New Technology and a run of hype-building shows already under their belt in 2010. Now we’ve got some more goodies to go on, including a full tracklisting and a first look at the album’s artwork.

Called The Crystal Axis, the band’s follow up to 2007’s Dystopia will at last see the light of day come May 28th, released via the band’s own Siberia Records and Inertia.

Produced by the dude behind recent outings from Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Yeasayer – Chris Moore – The Crystal Axis is being billed as a cosmic melting pot of synths, grooves and old-school euphoria by the band. All that aside, if recent single Vital Signs is anything to go by (check the tripped out clip below) then we’re in for a real treat this time ‘round.
