Brissie boys Violent Soho have put the final touches on their self-titled debut album and are coming home to show us what the Yanks have taught them.
The band has been shacked up in Brooklyn for sometime now readying the release of its Gil Norton produced LP, which is already creating more buzz than a Schick razor.
Since signing to Thurston Moore’s Ecstatic Peace label a year ago Violent Soho has attracted an unprecedented amount of attention from music media, both in Australia and overseas. And if initial reviews of the album are to be believed then it seems this attention was not misplaced. Only last week Spin Magazine got the hyperbole train started declaring their debut “the second coming of teen spirit.” No pressure though boys.
