Midlake confirm Splendoursideshows

Following on from a leak on the band’s website, American folk rockers Midlake have officially confirmed the dates of their Splendour In The Grass sideshows.
The Texan quintet’s most recent musical offering, The Courage Of Others , saw the band explore a more fragile folk sound. Speaking to FasterLouder in February, guitarist Eric Pulido talked about how the album was inspired by artists such as Neil Young and Jetro Tull: “We kind of wear our influences on our sleeve and it’s not a contrived thing. This is the music that’s been moving us and that we’ve been listening to. We’re pretty sensitive about that and really get immersed into whatever sound is moving us at that time.”

Saturday July 31st – Metro Theatre, Sydney
Monday August 2nd – Prince Of Wales, Melbourne
Wednesday August 4th – Capitol, Perth
