Wolfmother lose anotherdrummer

Wolfmother has announced that after two years of service drummer Dave Atkins has decided to leave the band to “spend much-needed time at home with his family”.

Atkins was a founding member of Aussie hip-hop mainstays Resin Dogs and though Wolfmother has a history of axing members it seems that this split has come on friendly terms.

The band’s official statement declaring that “touring and recording with the band, though in time, [has] proven to be too exhausting and taxing on his home life. Dave gives his blessings to the band and may well still be around for future recordings. All is good between the band, everyone is cool, this is more of a life change decision for Dave.”

The band will continue with Will Rockwell-Scott, drummer for Mooney Suzuki and Har Mar Superstar, behind the kit.
