Holly Miranda has been chosen to perform at Vivid LIVE by influential American rocker Lou Reed and his co-curator Laurie Anderson, but thankfully for fans that can’t make it to the festival in Sydney Miranda will also be performing shows in Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth.

The singer’s debut album The Magician’s Private Library was produced by TV on the Radio’s Dave Sitek and her charming music has have been widely praised by Kanye West, Vanity Fair and the hipster music blogosphere.

Miranda’s music is influenced by her love of Jeff Buckley, Edith Piaf, Nina Simone, Motown and modern day chanteuses such as Cat Power and Feist.

In addition to her headline shows Miranda will also be performing as part the “Slow Music” night at Vivid LIVE alongside festival curator Laurie Anderson, The Blind Boys of Alabama, Chirgilchin, Doveman and the festival house band.
