Renowned party starters The Cat Empire have announced details of their next album, to be followed by a national tour in August and September.
Vocalist/trumpeter Harry Angus revealed the follow-up to 2007’s So Many Nights will be called Cinema, and released on June 25.
“We wanted to make the album cinematic,” said Angus. “It’s a Cat Empire album, so it’s a little bit all over the place. There’s lots of different stuff on there. But I’m really happy!”
Angus has also revealed that the band has picked up a few extra members, jumping into 2010 with a full eight-person lineup.
