FasterLouder nominated for twoWAMi Awards

The Western Australian Music industry Festival opened for 2010 with the nominations for the WAMi Awards being announced tonight at the Velvet Lounge with FasterLouder in the Most Popular Music Website category and the industry voted Media Award.

The WAMi Festival is WA’s premier event for recognising excellence in the music industry, with the majority of the awards voted by key industry players who eat, breathe and excrete music. 2010 is the 18th year the festival has been running and this year over 100 acts will perform over five days, showcasing the cream of the talent in the state this year.

Sugar Army has been nominated in eight categories, Karnivool picked up six between them and Tomas Ford got three. Other FasterLouder favourites to be included in the list are Injured Ninja, French Rockets, Will Stoker, Boys Boys Boys, Project Mayhem, Abbe May, Eleventh He Reaches London, the Devil Rides Out, Tame Impala, The Brow Horn Orchestra, Kill Devil Hills, Mile End, Gyroscope, Birds of Tokyo and The Rocket Room Congratulations to all the nominees!

Check the gig guide for all the details of the festival. Voting is now open HERE and if you’re interstate, you can still vote, you just have to give them your email address.
