Former Mazzy Star frontwoman, Hope Sandoval will tour Australia in June with her band The Warm Inventions featuring My Bloody Valentine’s drummer Colm O’Ciosoig.
Though best known as the singer with hazy post-psychedelia group Mazzy Star, Sandoval has also sung with The Jesus & Mary Chain, Air, Death in Vegas, The Chemical Brothers and recently appeared on the new Massive Attack album Heligoland.
She embarked on a solo career in 2001 with the album Bavarian Fruit Bread before making punters wait until last year for her second solo record Through the Devil Softly.
The Dirty Three’s guitarist Mick Turner and Jeffrey Wegener from the Laughing Clowns join the tour as the support act.
