Little Birdy’s leading lady Katy Steele is returning home to play a handful of intimate solo gigs this May.

These will be the first shows Steele has played back on home soil since relocating to New York in January. The Perth born songstress has been spending her time in the Big Apple penning her debut solo album due out later this year.

According to Steel the short run of intimate gigs will be a chance for her to road-test the new solo material and put a different twist on some Little Birdy favoutires: “Playing solo is very liberating and very, very different. It’s like another world. I’m very excited for the chance to play my brand new songs for the first time in front of a home crowd…and of course a couple of old favourites too.”

Saturday 22nd May, Notes – Sydney
Thursday 27th May, Art Gallery of Western Australia: ARTBAR – Perth
Saturday 29th May, X&Y Bar – Brisbane
Friday 4th June, Northcote Social Club, Melbourne
