Story of the Year tour

Known for their spectacular live shows and anthemic songs, Story of the Year return to Australia in June.

On the band’s last Australian tour, in May 2008, FasterLouder’s reviewer noted that “Story Of The Year are one of those rare bands that have to be seen live to be believed.”

“Ask anyone who has ever been to one of their high-intensity, fast-paced shows and they will reiterate that sentiment entirely. Having played shows in Australia in previous years, the Missouri quintet have garnered quite a reputation, gained a mass of new fans along the way, and left people wanting more.”

Joining Story Of The Year on the Australian tour are Southern California quintet Saosin and Phoenix, Arizona’s Blessthefall.

Friday 11th June – Billboard, Melbourne
Saturday 12th June – UNSW Roundhouse, Sydney
Sunday 13th June – The Hi-Fi, Brisbane
Tuesday 15th June – HQ, Adelaide
Thursday 17 June – Capitol, Perth

Tickets on sale Thursday 22 April

Saosin fit in far better on this lineup than with NFG and Hit The Lights... Fireworks as a replacement were far better suited.

Tell me some ~good~ Saosin to listen to, all i've heard so far has not been pleasant.

P.S - Everybody should hit up Fireworks' headlining tour starting this Thursday, will be sweeeeeeeeeeeeet.

I think I liked them for about five minutes before realising how shit they were.

when they played here two years ago, they were awesome with the audition.
this line-up is much better suited to them.
definitely keen on seeing blessthefall but not too stoked on saosin.
their self titled was okay and anything they released before that was good, but their new album was rubbish besides maybe two songs.

fireworks were great at nfg and i'm really looking forward to seeing them again when they're back in melbourne.

i went to the show 2 years ago, and whether you like them or not, they put on a good live show. i mean, who doesnt like watching musicians do spin kicks, flips and generally crazy shit live on stage?
saosin - dont get me started. i loved their earlier stuff, but the last album and ep were disappointing
havent heard much of blessthefall, so i reserve judgement

ill definitely go, but this could be one of those shows that goes either way?

besides, as much as i wanted to see bad brains, that had enormous potential to suck hardcore. this could be ok

grade 9? page avenue was released in what, 03? i was yr 11 then, i enjoyed it then and i still enjoy it now (somewhat less than before, but its still a good record). itwod was also pretty good. black swan had like 3 good songs on the whole record, and i still havent given the constant enough of a listen. but overall, as much as they arent my favourite band, they are still good for a listen

Yeah that is an awesome track, bought a ticket to Billy Talent just to see Emery and Face to Face. Emery closed with Walls, good gig except for Billy Talent.

Granted all bands on the bill are at the stage of stinking it up in their careers. Saosin are the only band that were ever in a position of being relevant, losing Anthony Green was the beginning of the descent.
