The presence of a thousand broke comedians wandering around the city is evidence that the Melbourne International Comedy Festival is well and truly under way.

Given it takes place in the nation’s live music capital, it was inevitable that comedy and music should at some point mix.

This Monday, April 12th will see the oh-so-hot-right-now Dan Sultan and Dallas Crane and Gun Street Girls frontman Dave Larkin take to the Hifi Bar stage amongst a slew of local and international comedians for the 12th annual Music, Mirth and Mayhem.

The line-up also includes Dave Hughes, Greg Fleet, Josh Earl and Lawrence Mooney among others, who will use their talents to support the Mirabel Foundation, a charity who supports children who are orphaned or abandoned due to parental drug use.
