New ABC2 music comedy series

ABC2 is launching a new dramatic comedy series about the career of an up-and-coming indie band trying to ‘make it’ in Sydney’s music scene.
I Rock will be an eight-part television show that charts the career of fictional Sydney band Boy Crazy Stacey – a semi-talented bunch of musos whose lead-singer Nash Taylor (not to be confused with Even’s main man Ash Naylor) is desperately trying to make big.
Set and filmed around all of Sydney’s local music haunts including The Annandale, the series features cameos from some real talent, including Tim Rogers, Laura Imbruglia, Scott Dooley, Cassette Kids and Snob Scilla.
The show is the brainchild of actor/comedian/writer John Mapleston who along with being a regular on the comedy circuit in Australia was once a state finalist in the Air Guitar Championships. Seems like a winning combination really.
