Goldfrapp tour in July?

Daisy Palmer, the touring drummer with Goldfrapp, may have let the cat out of the bag by posting tour dates on her MySpace page which include an Australian journey for the electronic group.

According to the leak, Goldfrapp – who was recently caught out lip-syncing on Italian TV – will be in Australia in late July.

It’s not yet official – and with two dates in Sydney without a visit to Melbourne does look a little odd – but it’s certainly a promising lead.

Promoting the band’s firth album Head First, Alison Goldfrapp spoke to FasterLouder last week about her love for Australia’s Olivia Newton-John and Xanadu.

Of course the three dates are suspiciously close to suggest that a Splendour trip might be on the cards.
