Whitley’s last solo tour?

Lawrence Greenwood, aka Whitley, has announced a run of dates around the country kicking off in early May.

Apparently it will be the penultimate chance for punters to catch a Whitley gig, with Greenwood telling triple j that “this will be the last solo Whitley tour and the second last Whitley tour of all time.”

Greenwood claimed that “I’ve thought about it a lot and there’s other things I want to do. I want to pursue some education and travel a bit. I wanna learn sign language – be an interpreter for the deaf.”

Though it’s hard to know how firmly his tongue was in his cheek when he spoke of his retirement from music, but it’s always worth heading along to hear your favourites from Whitley’s recent Go Forth, Find Mammoth album.
