For all those who love some blue-grass, acoustic and a bit of country too, then our Gig Guide Pick Of The Week is for you. The USA’s ol’ Uncle Earl is currently fiddling their way across Australia. As apart of their tour they will be stopping by Tilley’s Devine Cafe and Gallery this Saturday March 20.

The band of girls (sometimes referred to as “The g’Earls”) complement their deep roots in traditional American tunes bringing in new ideas, songs and arrangements. Entering the band’s tenth year, longtime Uncle Earl members KC Groves and Kristin Andreassen are the leaders of a new formation of the band that has influenced a remarkable new generation of old-time musicians. This year Uncle Earl includes some pretty accomplished stars from the string scene.

Uncle Earl has found themselves as one of the leading lights in the ongoing old-time renaissance, receiving high praise from Rolling Stone, The New York Times and other great critics in the music scene. Don’t miss “The g’Earls” of Uncle Earl this Saturday.
