LOOKING FOR THE 2010 SPLENDOUR LINE-UP? HEAD HERE!

The Splendour In The Grass guessing game has really started to heat-up thanks to today’s announcement of the Summer Sonic Festival line-up.

Japan’s Summer Sonic Festival falls a week after Splendour In The Grass on the 7th and 8th of August and, much like Fuji Rock, its line-up has historically been a good indicator of bands planning to make a pit-stop down under in August as well. Both The Flaming Lips and The Specials played Summer Sonic last year, a week after wowing the kids on the mainstage at Splendour.

The first round of artists announced includes the hotly rumoured Smashing Pumpkins Jay Z, The Offspring and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. Although there is no sign of The Strokes, despite Julian Casablancas hinting to FasterLouder they may be here mid-year.

Some of the smaller names like Florida’s Surfer Blood and Ireland’s latest indie wonders Two Door Cinema Club also seem to fit the bill for bands likely to visit Australia before the end of the year.
