The Blow Parade, is a new mockumentary comedy series written and performed by The Chaser’s Andrew Hansen and Chris Taylor with triple j’s Comedy Producer Craig Schuftan.

Each week the show will explore the making of a classic album taking the piss out of music industry mythology, music journalism and golden-oldies radio – like the recently deceased Vega.

Loosely described as a cross between “ Spinal Tap and the Goon Show ” each episode of the six week series will present one year from the history of classic pop and focus on a specific (fictitious) band.

In addition to Hansen, Taylor and Schuftan , The Blow Parade band also includes triple j Drive host The Doctor on guitar and Chaser writer Dominic Knight on bass.

Debuting on April 28 , The Blow Parade will air on triple j at 5pm on Wednesdays, and will be re-aired at 1am Thursday and 12pm Sunday. For a limited time after broadcast it will also be available as a podcast from the triple j website.
