The third installment of the Format Festival will feature the folk genre this Friday March 12 at 15 Peel St (off of Hindley St) in the city. The event has secured another superb lineup of local talent:

Matt Banham
Needs no introduction. You know Banham. He’s the drunk guy in the red polo shirt. He’s the singer in that band. He’s an old Italian woman. He’s going to tear his heart out. You’re going to sit there and watch him do it.

Owls Of The Swamp
Also known as Melbourne troubadour Pete Uhlenbruch, Owls Of The Swamp plays engaging, masterful songs about life and longing, often written in Iceland. He’s an incredible performer. He’ll leave you teary eyed and smiling.

Ellen Kibble
Ellen Kibble’s music is dark. It’s patient, well-paced, and it will consume you. Her songs sound honest, but just that little bit mysterious. She came from rural New South Wales, but now lives in Melbourne, spending her time playing big festivals and small cafés.

Ben Revi
I play songs too. If you get there early enough, you’ll be able to catch me in the act.

The gig kicks off at 9pm, entry is free and drinks are super cheap.
