Bluejuice step up for GoodVibes

Following the wave of disappointing news that struck Good Vibrations revelers yesterday detailing that both fan favourites Friendly Fires and festival headliners The Killers (though the Killers will still make the trip for week two of the festival apparently) of the touring party event due to ‘family emergencies’, Good Vibes organisers Jam Music have been quick to act, this morning issuing a statement about festival tickets and now revealing that beloved local party starters Bluejuice would be joining the line-up.

Speaking to MusicFeeds today, the Bluejuice boys confirmed their involvement in the festival, though at this stage it’s not clear if they’re replacing one of the two bands, or just being brought in to bolster the lineup.

The latter seems likely, taking into account the profile of other artists on the lineup and their potential stand-in headliner abilities, and not to mention that part of the Friendly Fires outfit will still make the journey to play some eclectic DJ sets at each festival.

Jam are yet to issue new set times following the lineup reshuffle, so if you’re heading along make sure you check the times on the day.

People should have turned up for Cassette Kids and Bluejuice. That was the part of the day when it wasn't raining.

Sure was pouring when the headliners would have been on.

Bluejuice and AVS had a pretty decent crowd I thought. Then it pissed down.

Salt n Pepa were atrocious (sound and actual show)
Busta Rhymes was fun, but playing break yo neck 4 times was excessive (he would start it, get a minute in, and then start again saying the crowd wasn't ready)
Chase and Status were great too.

I dislike both of those bands.

And Good Vibes always struck me as hip hop / dance music festival. So it makes sense.

Goodvibes and Parklife are full of people who back in highschool would laugh at me for going to music festivals and say clueless random shit like 'festivals? are you a grungy?' then go to the retro hotel for R&b supaaaaaaclubbbbbbbb and "Home" every fucking weekend and generally be douches whilst thinking they know it all.

And since theres been a shift to r&b/rap acts actually playing festivals and dance acts also "playing" then all of a sudden its ZOOOOOOoomg PARKLIFE this wEek3nd!!! I LUVV FESTIVAAAALS IM SO AWESOMEEE GOOD VIBESS YAYYYYY IM gunNa RoCK dA Festival!

They would say that about BDO, because they had a decent turn out there (from the live footage I saw of them on V).

To suggest BDO is all about music and Good Vibes isn't is kinda stupid. Did you see how small a turnout the Decemberists and Mars Volta got? Also did you see how good a turnout Dizzee Rascal and Calvin Harris got?

The festivals are really not that different for a lot of people.

The festivals are really not that different for a lot of people.

They didn't really say BDO is 'all' about music. Just seems like a general observation. In reality both festivals are probably as bad as each other.

Sadly, for BDO, the bogan population is greater than the drug addict, scenester and music fans combined.

Hope this is just an observation, because it would be pretty slack for a band who was given an opportunity like this to turn around and criticise the festival.

Fair enough. Thing is this is what i love about Bluejuice. They call it how they see it. And they call it in a humourous manner
