Triple j's One Night Stand inAlice

For seven years triple j has been bringing the rock to regional Australia with their annual One Night Stand concert series, and this year’s event will see the national youth broadcaster go as regional as it gets when they bed-up for an evening in the Red Centre.

Headlining the gig, which is set to take place on Saturday March 27th at the Traeger Park in Alice Springs, will be enviro-rockers the John Butler Trio who will be joined by three other Aussie bands announced later this month.

As always, the j’s will be searching for the Red Centre’s best young band to kick off proceedings at the free all-ages event.

Triple j’s One Night Stand in Alice Springs will take place at Traeger Park, Gap Road and Speed Street, Alice Springs on Saturday 27 March 2010 from 4PM-9:30PM.

isnt one night stand meant to be held in a very small town? population under 20 000? alice has a population of almost 30 000, completely defeating the purpose of the event.

2004 - Natimuk - Pop: 400
2005 - Ayr - Pop: 8500
2006 - Port Pine - Pop: 13 500
2007 - Cowra - Pop: 8500
