FasterLouder is looking for a new State Editor for Melbourne. We’re seeking passionate, focused, communicators with strong organisational and writing skills. The role will see you managing our Melbourne contributors, editing stories, updating local news, maintaining the Melbourne gig guide and photo galleries, assisting in on ground marketing activities, maintaining strong relationships with local Melbourne promoters and going to lots of gigs!

You would work closely with FL HQ to maintain and grow a strong FL community in Melbourne. It is not a full time position, but does require dedication and passion and would be perfect for someone studying or working part-time already.

This extremely rare opportunity will suit a people person with incredible drive, energy, personality and desire to succeed. It’s the ideal role for someone who wants to kick-start their career in music journalism and promotions.

Preferably you will have experience with the FasterLouder site and be an active member (however we will consider applicants who are not).You will have strong published writing experience, be highly organised and impeccable oral communication skills. The right candidates will have a wide circle of friends and strong local industry knowledge and contacts. The role is currently part time (roughly one day a week) and offers excellent opportunities for career progression. In fact, the role is up for grabs because our current Melbourne Editor just became FL’s full-time Deputy Editor!
