Here in March to accompany Long Island quintet Brand New around the country, Kevin Devine will give his diehard fans a bit on the side. The prolific songwriter is doing headline shows in Melbourne and Sydney.

Devine was an understated highlight of Soundwave in 2008, playing his bare acoustic songs amidst a line-up of raucous punk and metal. The man’s 2009 album Brother’s Blood earned him further accolades, coming three years after its predecessor Put Your Ghost to Rest. These close-quarters shows in March should be the perfect setting for the New York native.
