Following on from the announcement that they are heading down under to play Groovin The Moo Festival this May, Vampire Weekend has confirmed a full run of sideshows for their 2010 trip to Australia.

The New York four-piece had Aussie fans salivating last year when they dropped in to play a special pre-album promo show in Sydney. Having promised to return for more action in 2010, many had thought the band were a shoe-in for Splendour In The Grass. As it turns out we will only have to wait until May for our second bite.

It will be the first tour for the band since releasing their highly anticipated sophomore album Contra and if their last shows are anything to go by, this tour will be one helluva party.

Vampire Weekend play these headline shows in May. Tickets on sale Monday 22 February, 9am.
