The singular John Darnielle will once again lead his Mountain Goats to Australia in April for five headline shows. This is set to be the band’s fifth visit down under, and with each tour their repute grows.

With a string of albums already to its name, the indie-folk outfit delivered again with last year’s The Life of the World to Come. Darnielle’s sardonic and bare songwriting certainly shows no signs of slackening. As for the live show, as the frontman told us last time: “I am always happy to go up against the rockingest four-piece anybody’s got – I will rock them tooth for tooth.”

Mountain Goats play these shows in April. All shows on sale Friday February 12.
