Echo & The Bunnymen no longerappearing at Melbourne'sLaneway

Melbourne music lovers who are getting revved up for the Laneway Festival this Saturday will have reason to shed a tear or two with the news that nostalgia headliners Echo & The Bunnymen will no longer be playing at the Saturday show. The reason? Lead singer Ian McCulloch was due to arrive in Melbourne on Friday night, but he missed his flight from London and hence won’t make it to Australia in time for the band’s scheduled performance. Devastation!

To soften the blow a little, Melbourne indie-dance rockers Midnight Juggernauts will be stepping in to take their place, who are fresh off their performances in the massive Boiler Room at the Big Day Out around the country.
