The Basics will record their first ever live album at The Northcote Social Club on Friday 5 February.

The show will feature one and a half hours packed with attempts at immortalised heckling as the band plays tracks from Get Back, Stand Out/Fit in, their new record Keep Your Friends Close plus tracks from various EPs and previously unrecorded material.

As well as trying to sing along loud enough to be heard on the record, punters at the gig can also sign their names on a huge autograph board which will be used as the cover art for the album.

Support at the gig/live recording comes from Canberra’s Hancock Basement and Laneway – œThe Very West’ winners The White Goods.
