In town next month to headline Good Vibrations Festival, The Killers have a special proposition for their Sydney fans. The Las Vegas show-men will play the relatively intimate Enmore Theatre on Friday 12 February for an all-ages crowd.

With no sideshows on their V Festival 2009 visit, it’s been a while since we’ve seen Brandon Flowers and co. in a theatre setting. Tickets are sure to sell out swiftly, so look sharp.

The Killers play this one-off show in Sydney. Tickets on sale 9am, Wednesday 3 February (Frontier Touring pre-sale starts Monday 1 February 2pm).

Friday 12 February – Enmore Theatre, Sydney [All Ages]

plus melbourne is getting their "last" show. so if you're desperate enough to see them one last time, wouldnt hurt to fork out an extra $40.

i propose that we form a posse. any music fans that missed out, chip in to buy some ebay tickets, turn up to the enmore with sacks full of doorknobs and hammer 9 shades of shit out of whoever is dealing.

i think people are over-estimating the amount sold to scalpers. there were a lot of fans wanting tickets and a relatively small venue like the enmore can only hold so much.

i was under the impression that some killers fans were spamming the bids to protest scalping (there were a few comments in the official forums that suggested this).

the last show (not festival) they played was back in 2007.

The Killers had hoped that the Australian leg of their current tour would be completed as planned, but due to the severity of the illness of a close family member, they regretfully announce the cancellation of their Sydney Enmore show as well as their shows at Good Vibrations Festival Sydney and Good Vibrations Festival Perth this weekend.

The band apologises to their Australian fans and asks for their understanding. The Killers still intend to perform at the Good Vibrations Festival’s Gold Coast and Melbourne shows next weekend.

The Killers would also like to take this opportunity to assure their fans that any concerns about the future of the band are unfounded. They are all looking forward to some time off at the end of this tour as they have been on the road for a long time, but there are no plans for an indefinite hiatus.

All tickets purchased using a credit card will be automatically refunded. Any patrons that bought tickets with cash will need to return to the point of purchase with photo ID to obtain a cash refund.
