Killers taking hiatus after Oztour
Tue 19th Jan, 2010 in Local News
Las Vegas kings of reinvention The Killers have announced Good Vibrations Festival will be their last shows for some time. Returning to Australia this summer just a 12 months after taking V Festival headline honours in 2009, the four-piece is unlikely to try for a third year running.
“I’m not sure if people are aware of it but these are probably our last shows of a while,” guitarist Dave Keuning told the Associated Press. “Unless some surprise thing comes up…We’re having a break. We haven’t had a break in quite a while. It’s just been touring and making records and on and on and on. It’s been like six years just kind of connected together.”
The big send-off will happen at the Melbourne leg of the festival on Sunday 21 February. In case you missed them (or need to reshuffle your plans after this news), the Good Vibrations set times and maps are now online.
