Disco blitzers Yeah Yeah Yeahs have arrived in Australia, and the reports from the tour kick-off in Melbourne are glowing. Before jetting off to Falls in Marion Bay, the trio play a charged set in the cavernous Festival Hall – the first of two shows for Melbourne fans.

Just as at Splendour In The Grass back in 2006, the set saw leading lady Karen O in dazzling form. Fittingly, It’s Blitz was well represented, but the encore saw breakout debut Fever To Tell take centre stage. The rest of the country can look forward to a heady couple of weeks.
