A vital part of the Big Day Out ever since Nirvana turned the Hordern Pavilion into a “human sauna”, Tony Mott has his share of stories from our biggest summer festival. The UK-born photographer continues to roam the world with camera in hand, but he doesn’t miss a Big Day Out tour.

Earlier this month, Tony launched the Big Day Out Retrospective exhibition at Sydney’s MART Gallery alongside Sophie Howarth. The pair’s photos will be on the walls until Saturday 30 January, so don’t miss the real thing if you’re in the Harbour City.
