If you wondering why local lights Danimals couldn’t make the Patrick Wolf support slot, here’s your answer. The Sydney pop revisionists were named the winners in Tooheys Extra Dry’s The Lab initiative – meaning they won themselves a flight to New York to collaborate with Mark Ronson in his illustrious studio.

Work has already begun on the all-star jam – which also features members of the members of The Dap Kings, Santigold, Nick Hodgson of Kaiser Chiefs and several more. The attached photo is from Danimals’ first day in the studio with Ronson and the Dap Kings.

If you want to know what makes this band the worthy winner, check out their Hornets Nest/Christmas Worms Quest For Fresh Apples release on Speak N Spell Records.
