Just over a year after his last blaze around the country, livewire MC Lupe Fiasco will return to Australia in February 2010. The man has already been confirmed at the top of the Playground Weekender bill, but he’ll also fit in three theatre shows and one at Melbourne Zoo.

Fans who caught the Chicago sensation sweating it up in the Boiler Room on the Big Day Out circuit will know he’s no slouch when it comes to performing. Backed by a tight touring band, his shows are vigorous, physical and electric.

This visit is well-timed, too – with Lupe’s much-anticipated third album Lasers due in the New Year. Expect to hear new material slotted around roof-raisers from Food & Liqour and The Cool.
