Nannup Music Festival Lineup
Fri 4th Dec, 2009 in Local News
Nannup Music Festival is on again next year with John Butler as headliner.
2010 will mark the 21st anniversary of the festival in its current location, but considering that it had its beginnings in the Southwest Folk Festival, this has to be one of the oldest festivals of its kind in Australia.
The first Nannup Festival had a budget of $700 back in 1989 and although it has grown in reputation and size over the years, its refreshing to find one that’s still about the music and not about getting as much money off you as possible. You can buy a ticket for the four day weekend for less than the price of a BDO ticket. They will also let kids under 12 in for nothing, and provided you are accompanied by a buardian through the main gate, it is an all ages event as well. Gotta love hippies.
Its on the Labour Day long weekend Feb 26th – Mar 1st, and there will be over 200 artists in total, but here’s the lineup so far:
John Butler
Tin Pan Orange
Jen Cloher and the Endless Sea
Jordie Lane
Tijuana Cartel
Eleanor McEvoy
Harry James Angus
Ego Lemos
