Some of Australia’s most iconic music moments have been captured on film at the Big Day Out, and over the festival’s seventeen year history two of this country’s most talented photographers have been there making sure this happens.
Tony Mott and Sophie Howarth have spent the best parts of the last two decades capturing all the action from the Big Day Out both on and off stage. To celebrate their collective bodies of amazing work The Mart Gallery is launching a Big Day Out photographic retrospective featuring the works of Tony and Sophie.
The exhibition launches this Thursday 3rd of December and runs through to Saturday the 30th January. On Saturday 12th Dec and Saturday 19th Dec at 1 and 3pm, Sophie and Tony will be revealing all the rock ‘n roll stories behind the images. It is free and not to be missed.
Mart Gallery is open Tuesday – Saturday 12-5pm – 156 Commonwealth St, Surry Hills.
