The Prodigy sideshows

With The Future Music Festival close to selling out, fans of The Prodigy will be relieved to hear that the band is set to play three mighty sideshows whilst in the country to headline the event.

Returning after a four-year hiatus to close the Boiler Room at the BDO this year, The Prodigy proved the naysayers wrong as they put on one of the most hectic performances of the whole tour. Expect nothing less from Keef and the lads this time around, as they churn out all the hits and slap down a bunch of their latest tunes from the 2009 release Invaders Must Die.

The Prodigy will be getting the fire started with support from Does It Offend You Yeah? at the following shows, presented by FasterLouder:

Wednesday 3rd March – Hordern Pavilion, Sydney
Thursday 4th March – Hisense Arena (GA Mode), Melbourne
Wednesday 10th March- – Entertainment Centre, Newcastle
Feb 27 – Mar 8 2010 – Future Music Festival

Tickets on sale midday December 10th.

I was referring to the sloshy aspect of this show in terms of it being midweek.

The midweek scheduling is strange considering Prodigy are a late night prospect... You can't go in half arsed to one of their gigs... It ain't Leonard Cohen afterall.

The way they transfered electronica to the live stage all those years ago has never been surpassed in terms of energy and exuberence.

I reckon it's cause of DIOYY, after all their show was $50 a couple of months ago. Hopefully they'll also put on a bigger show though.

Yep Thursday morning should be fun with Wednesday-night-sloshiness. It ends at 11 though so that's not too bad.
