Wed 25th Nov, 2009 in Local News
Previously confirmed to be playing both Playground and The Lost Weekend in 2010, the Brian Jonestown Massacre has announced an additional string of sideshows for their February sojourn dowunder.
Fans have already been given a taste of what to expect from the shows, with the band streaming their new album Who Killed Sergeant Pepper? on youtube since Monday. Anton recorded his latest psychedelic opus between Iceland and Berlin where he now resides, enlisting the likes of Will Carruthers (Spacemen 3 and Spiritualized) and Unnur Andrea Einarsdottir to contribute.
Who Killed Sergeant Pepper? is by far one of the band’s most experimental efforts to date, with its 13 tracks offering up everything from ambient bhangra beats to gypsy-inspired psychedelia. Australian fans will be the first to get their hands on the album when it is released here on February 6th , and will also receive the bonus EP One with their copy when they purchase it.
